Our patients tell us that the pain is very minimal and can be easily controlled with the pain medication we provide. Severe pain may be a sign of complication, such as hematoma and you will need to contact Dr. Pasquale. Our patients who travel from out of state can still enjoy the scenic beauty and some of the events here in Hawaii. However, you cannot go into the ocean until after you heal from labiaplasty.
Labial tissue that is cut does not noticeably scar as would be seen in other parts of the body like facial skin. Our specialized technique is such that we only operate on the mucosal ( non-skin area ) which like the tissue inside your mouth does not notably scar. Also Dr. Pasquale's technique follows natural lines which does not leave a scar that can be noticed.
Sexual feelings are unique to each individual and after a labiaplasty procedure it will depend on the degree of labia abnormality to begin with. If excess labia interferes with sexual pleasure prior to labiaplasty, then you and your partner may notice great improvement after surgery. However we cannot guarantee any sexual enhancement because this not only involves the physical but the emotional and psychological factors we do not treat. Labiaplasty is a procedure on that part of the body only.
Labiaplasty can be used to repair an altered or damaged area after a piercing that you no longer desire. Dr. Pasquale has treated many damaged genital structures from genital piercing's.
This will depend on the exact issue, yet in may cases color changes can be made. This can be done with labiaplasty, or without labiaplasty at our Hawaii clinic.
Yes, many times in our Hawaii clinic we do perform labiaplasty, breast augmentation or liposuction at the same surgical time.
All this means is that cutting is done with a LASER which he will discuss with you. This focused beam of light heats and burns it way through the tissue. There are advantages to using the LASER, but there are also disadvantages as well. After the risk and benefits are explained you will be given the choice of LASER labiaplasty or not. Yet we want you to be fully aware of each technique in detail before you choose. You will be walking around the next day but we do not want any exertion. However you must limit your activity as not to cause pressure on the area of the labiaplasty. Sexual activity can typically be resumed in 4-6 weeks after labiaplasty.
